Each week we'll be focusing on specific parts of a match race.

Week 1 - 101 / Starting Part 1
Basic calls and penalties, the starting sequence, entering the box, the dial up

Week 2 - Starting Part 2
Leading vs. trailing, hooking, lay lines, circling

Week 3 - Boat Handling and Speed
Sail trim, heel, sheets, momentum, rolling, getting up to speed, slow and stopping, more starting practice

Week 4 - Upwind and Rounding the Weather Mark
Left/right/middle, tactics, tacking duals, approaching the mark from left vs. right, lay lines, tack set

Week 5 - Downwind
Leading vs. trailing, soaking, gybing, getting and staying away from a penalty

Week 6 - Rounding the Leeward Mark/ Finishing
Taking someone passed starboard lay line, dousing after passing starboard lay line, exiting leeward mark, finishing

Week 7 - Putting it All Together
Open classroom discussion for final Q&A, start our final round robin(s) with full length courses.

Week 8 - Final Races
Pick up on the final round robin(s) where we left off last week. Finals.
